The Six Kalimas are important statements of faith in Islam that summarize the core beliefs of a Muslim. These kalimas serve as a way for Muslims to declare and reinforce their faith. Here are the six kalimas along with their translations:
First Kalima (Tayyabah/Kalima Tayyiba): Arabic: لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله Transliteration: La ilaha illallah, Muhammadur rasulullah Translation: There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah
Second Kalima (Shahada/Kalima Shahada): Arabic: أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له و أشهد أن محمداً عبده و رسوله Transliteration: Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lahu, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh Translation: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone without any partners, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.
Third Kalima (Tamjeed/Kalima Tamjeed): Arabic: سبحان الله والحمد لله ولا إله إلا الله والله أكبر ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله Transliteration: Subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, wala hawla wala quwwata illa billah Translation: Glory be to Allah, all praise is for Allah, there is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest, there is no power and no might except with Allah.
Fourth Kalima (Touheed/Kalima Touheed): Arabic: لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير Transliteration: La ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul mulk wa lahul hamd, wahuwa 'ala kulli shayin qadeer Translation: There is no god but Allah, alone without any partners, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over everything.
Fifth Kalima (Astaghfar/Kalima Astaghfar): Arabic: أستغفر الله ربي من كل ذنب وأتوب إليه Transliteration: Astaghfirullah Rabbi min kulli dhambin wa atubu ilayh Translation: I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, for every sin and I turn towards Him in repentance.
Sixth Kalima (Radd-e-Kufr/Kalima Radd-e-Kufr): Arabic: أمنت بالله كما هو بأسمائه وصفاته وقبلت جميع أحكامه Transliteration: Aman tu billahi kama huwa bi asma'ihi wa sifatihi wa qabiltu jamee'a ahkamihi Translation: I believe in Allah as He is with His names and attributes, and I accept all His rulings.
These kalimas encapsulate the fundamental beliefs and principles of Islam. Reciting and understanding them is important for Muslims as they help affirm their faith and devotion to Allah.
